Terms & Conditions of Booking
This hiring contract is made between the person making the booking (“the Hirer”) and the
Owner of the Holiday Property (“the Owner”). The Holiday Property is Maenayron, Napier
Street, Cardigan SA43 1ED (“the Property”).

  1. Bookings
    a. The Hirer must be over 18 years of age and be a member of the party
    occupying the Property.
    b. The Hirer certifies that he/she is authorised to agree to the terms and
    conditions on behalf of all persons in the party.
    c. The Hirer agrees to take full responsibility for the party occupying the
    Property.
    d. The Hirer will provide the names of the party members before the
    commencement date.
  2. Payment
    a. For bookings made more than eight weeks in advance, a 30% deposit is
    required at the time of booking. The remainder of the payment must be paid
    and received by the Owner no later than eight weeks before the
    commencement date.
    b. For bookings made eight or less weeks in advance, payment must be made in
    full at the time of booking.
    c. Once full payment is received, the Owner will confirm booking and provide
    key collection details.
    d. In the event of full payment not being received eight weeks before the
    commencement date, the Owner reserves the right to cancel the booking and
    all deposits paid will be forfeit.
    e. Payment may be made by bank transfer or PayPal.
    f. Overseas Hirers may pay in Sterling. Any charges for overseas payment will
    be made by the Hirer.
  3. Security Bond
    a. A refundable security bond may be required in some circumstances. The
    Owner will state this at the time of booking.
    b. The Bond will be paid no later than eight weeks before the commencement
    date. For bookings made eight or less weeks in advance, payment of the
    bond must be made in full at the time of booking.
    c. If the property is left in accordance with the terms and conditions, the bond
    will be returned in full as soon as confirmation is received from the
    housekeeper or owner that everything is in order.
  4. Damages Or Breakages
    a. The Hirer is responsible for all damages and breakages. These will be notified
    to the Owner either by telephone, text message, email or through the
    Maenayron.co.uk website as soon as possible before the end of the holiday.
    b. The cost of damages or breakages or replacement of missing items shall be
    payable on demand. The Owner reserves the right to charge the Hirer the
    additional costs incurred where any extra cleaning, remedial work or
    breakage replacement is required beyond that which may reasonably be
    expected.
    c. The Owner reserves the right to terminate the occupancy at any time, should
    the Hirer or any member of the Party be found to be causing excessive
    damage to the Property or its contents. If the occupancy is terminated then no
    refund of the remaining rent will be made.
  5. Arrival, Departure, Check-In and Check-Out Times
    a. Check-in time is 3:00pm (15:00 Hrs) on the day of arrival.
    b. Check-out time is 10:00am (10:00 Hrs) on the day of departure.
    c. We ask that the keys are replaced in the key safes on departure.
  6. Occupancy
    a. Unless expressly agreed in advance, no group bookings (four or more adult
    party members) will be accepted where all party members are under 25 years
    of age.
    b. No group bookings will be accepted where all members are of the same sex,
    unless the group consists of members of the same family across a number of
    generations.
    c. The Owner reserves the right not to accept Hen or Stag parties.
    d. The Owner reserves the right to refuse access to the property without
    compensation if no agreement has been given in advance.
    e. The Hirer’s right to occupy the property may be forfeited without
    compensation, or an additional charge made, if:
    i. More people or guests than those agreed, or more than the number
    the property accommodates (8 people), attempt to take up occupation.
    ii. Overnight guests are entertained without the Owner’s express
    permission
    iii. Any activity that may cause damage, noise, or disturbance is carried
    out
    iv. Any Party member is found smoking within the Property.
  7. Availability
    a. The Booking is made on the understanding that the Property will be placed at
    the Hirer’s disposal on the date stated. If this is not possible through
    circumstances beyond the Owner’s control, then the Hirer’s deposit and rent
    will be returned in full and the Hirer will have no further claim against the
    Owner.
  8. Linen and towels
    a. Bed linen and towels are provided in the Property.
    b. Cot linen is not provided.
  9. Cleaning
    a. All properties are professionally cleaned prior to arrival. The Hirer agrees to
    keep the Property and its contents in the same condition and repair as found
    on arrival, and shall ensure that all members of the Party shall also keep the
    Property and its contents in the same condition and repair as found on arrival.
    b. The Hirer must ensure the Property is left in a clean and tidy condition upon
    departure and all rubbish is disposed of when vacating the Property.
    c. The Owner may charge the Hirer for for the reasonable costs of any additional
    cleaning if this is necessary.
  10. Pets
    a. A maximum of two dogs will be allowed per occupancy.
    b. The Hirer will notify the Owner at the time of booking if they intend to bring
    pets.
  11. Complaints
    a. Problems must be reported within 24 hours of occupation of the property, or
    immediately upon a fault arising or being found, and be confirmed in writing to
    the Owner.
    b. Complaints received after departure cannot be entertained, as it will then be
    impossible for the problem to be effectively investigated and corrected.
    c. No rebates will be paid by the Owner for mechanical or electrical failure of any
    kind.
    d. Every effort shall be made to effect immediate repair or rectification. The
    Owner or a nominated tradesperson has the right to enter the property
    (without prior notice if necessary) in order to carry out repairs, or to attend to
    any matters giving rise to emergencies or concern.
    e. Any action taken by the owner in respect of complaint is at their discretion and their decision is final.
  12. Liability
    a. In the absence of any negligence or any other breach of duty by the Owner,
    the Owner shall not be held responsible for any accident, loss or damage
    which may be sustained by the Hirer or members of the Party, however
    caused.
  13. Allergies
    a. Claims cannot be entertained in respect of any complaint arising as a result of
    any allergy which a party member may suffer from, unless written
    confirmation is obtained prior to the booking, confirming the Property is free
    from the specific cause of the allergy.
  14. Property Description
    a. Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the property information
    provided. Whilst the representations contained in advertising material are
    made in good faith, these will not create a liability on the Owner, nor do they
    form any part of this agreement.
    b. In the interests of continued improvement, the Owners reserve the right to
    alter amenities or facilities, whether advertised or previously available, without
    prior notice.
  15. VAT
    a. Occasionally, VAT may be applicable, in which case the rents quoted include
    VAT.
  16. Access
    a. The Owner or an owner-approved agent shall be allowed access to the
    Property at any reasonable time during the holiday term to deal with
    complaints, repairs etc. and to verify that the property is being used in
    accordance with the terms and conditions herein.
  17. Holiday Cancellation and Curtailment
    a. If, after having booked and paid for the holiday, the Hirer is unable to take it,
    the Hirer will notify the Owner immediately in writing.
    b. It will be at the Owner’s discretion to refund some or all of the payment. The
    Owner’s decision will be final.
  18. Vouchers
    a. From time to time, the Owner may issue voucher codes for discounts off
    holidays.
    b. No more than one voucher may be used at any time against the cost of a
    holiday.
    c. The voucher must be used at the time of booking. Failure to apply a valid
    voucher code to a booking prior to payment cannot be retrospectively
    amended, and the use of the code is therefore forfeit.
    d. The validity of a voucher code is at the Owner’s discretion.
  19. Changes
    a. The Owner reserves the right to amend these terms at any time.
